Another men’s fashion week has come and gone, but not without memorable moments. From a Travis Scott collab with Dior to Burberry’s model on model stunt, this fashion week has given us a lot to talk about. And while the clothes themselves were sensational, this season it was the accessories that stole the show. Here’s a roundup of my favourite accessories, from decked out jewellery to bucket hats, from this season’s shows.

PRADA’S BUCKET HATS
Dubbed the goat of accessories, Prada’s SS22 show’s highlight was undoubtedly its accessories. From large triangular over-the-shoulder bags to bucket leather bags, Raf and Mrs Prada did not disappoint. My personal favourite were the bucket hats, coming in an array of colours such as black, white, navy blue, leather blue, green and yellow, as well as blue and green striped and blue and orange striped. Adorned with a chin strap, sunglasses pockets and the signature mini triangular-logo pocket, these hats are bound to be a summer sellout.

JACQUEMUS’ BAGS
Returning to the runway after a year-long hiatus, Jacquemus came back with a slew of colourful bags. Opening the show, we saw an orange furry maxi bag finished off with two shoulder straps. The collection also offered an array of crossbody bags in orange, pink and black as well as harness-strapped body bags in black and lime green. The French designer revisited some of his popular silhouettes, such as the Chiquito mini bag, as well as introducing new pieces, bound to become the next Instagram-worthy bag.

RICK OWENS’ NECKLACES
Presenting yet another out-of-this-world collection, the Lord of Darkness has blessed us with minimal hardware pieces I can’t get enough of. Kicking off the show, model and close friend of Owens’ Tyrone Dylan is seen wearing a silver rectangular drop down statement necklace. The collection offered several reiterations of the necklace, including a split-down-the-middle one and squared version. We also saw a Y-shaped piece attached to an oversized chain and finished off with a hanging pendant. The necklaces were paired with reflective maxi and mini sunglasses, completing Rick Owens’ vision for SS22.

DIOR’S JEWELLERY
Who better than a rapper knows dripped jewellery? And who better than AMBUSH’s Yoon Ahn to complete the vision? I couldn’t tell you. Dior’s latest collection in collaboration with Travis Scott was a fever dream straight out of Cactus Jack’s universe. The jewellery, consisting of necklaces, bracelets, chains, rings and earrings all decked out in the finest of diamonds. Some highlight pieces include a maxi pearl necklace finished off with a diamenté cactus and flowers and a mismatched jewelled bracelet adorned with a CactusJack gold cactus-shaped charm.

MAGLIANO’S BAGS
Making headlines since winning Vogue Italia’s “Who’s On Next?” talent competition in 2017, Luchino Magliano has been making headlines with his namesake brand. And this season is no different. Taking inspiration from Hippocrates’ four personality theory for his latest collection, Magliano introduced a rolled-in plastic-effect bag. Designed in a royal blue and faded grey-blue colourway, the bags sport the Magliano tagline in a spray-painted effect in white and yellow respectively. While only presenting us these two bags, we hope the Italian designer revisits this silhouette as well as exploring an array of new ones in future collections.
