So-Cal’s UGG and the LA-based imprint, The Elder Statesman, connect over their West Coast roots, notably seen through the use of vibrant and varied colours. The collection is made up of a series of accessories and, of course because it’s UGG, footwear.
At the heart of each piece is comfort without compromising craftsmanship. The offering includes four pairs of shoes made for both indoor and outdoor ventures. The UGG TES Classic Ultra Mini comes in the signature brown colour, decorated with multicolour darning embroidery on its upper.
The UGG TES Tasman X, Embroidered Slide and Patchwork Slide have all been created with premium fabrics including cashmere and sheepskin, each capturing that So-Cal cool energy. The accessories, which includes a suede leather-strapped backpack and beanie-style hat, continue the collection’s colourful patchwork motifs.
The campaign follows the Cali vibes of the collection by featuring the Californian actor, comedian and ceramist Seth Rogen. Rogen can be seen cozying up in the new collection in front of and inside a custom craft van, with its interior being decorated with his own Houseplant ceramics.
The actor can also be seen next to UGG’s mascot, the abominable “UGGman,” as a nod to the cult-classic film Ghost. Other faces that appear in the campaign include bead artist Jaime Gerin, glassblower Cedric Mitchell, textile artist Sesan, and surfboard shaper Kyle Albers, further highlighting the dedication to a niche craft, as UGG and The Elder Statesman showcase in their collaboration.
Priced between £190 and £510, the full collection is now available on UGG’s website and The Elder Statesman’s website.
