We unboxed the Air Jordan 4 Retro “Wet Cement”just in time for the Paris Olympics

Paris is hosting the Olympics as we speak, and the City of Love has been transformed into the City of Sport. Jordan Brand is getting in on the action by dropping three product lines that nod to Parisian style, including the highly anticipated Air Jordan 4 Retro "Wet Cement."

And if you're wondering what cement has to do with sport, here us out. The sneaker's cement grey colourway is inspired by the cobblestone streets of Paris, the kind of streets packed with the history and sophistication French Capital is known for.

When it comes to basketball, France is a pretty major spot. It hosts the NBA games in Paris and is the birthplace of Victor Wembanyama, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs.

With the Olympics around the corner, we got our hands on the Jordan 4 "Wet Cement" to get a sneak peek at all its sporty, stylish goodness. Out of the box, the sneaker's elevated blend of suede and leather, topped with a titanium dioxide finish, took us straight to any "rue" or avenue you might find yourself on during the Paris Olympics.

We couldn’t help but get drawn to the classic Jumpman branding on the tongue, crafted from premium nubuck. The "Wet Cement" release looks pretty sick and comes with the sturdy basketball-ready design features that have helped make it a classic.

While we're not Michael Jordan, we could definitely appreciate the Nike Air cushioned sole units, reinforced collar, and traction-grabbing tread pattern, which meant we looked as good on the street as we did on the court.

The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Wet Cement" will be released on July 27 for $225 in a full youth and men's size run. It will be available via the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers.
