Marni gets wavy for Volume 1 of its Spring/Summer 2024 campaign

Marni just dropped the images to the first volume of its Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, and we’re just as obsessed as you are.

The Francesco Risso-led brand is fun, playful, somewhat theatrical, and certainly exploratory, perfectly shown in its SS24 runway show and now, its SS24 campaign imagery. Some of the photos from this campaign take on a scanned look, with distorted shapes and static look, adding a layer of whimsicality shown off by the collection’s offering.

Models can be seen wearing grandma-style floral prints on loose-fitting dresses and raincoats in quirky ways. In true Marni style, that isn’t the only print we find in this collection, with thin red squared pinstripes against white appearing on a two-piece, large yellow and blue horizontal lines found on a knitted number, and an orange and blue chequered pattern seen on a winter-ready trench coat.

Loud prints are exposed to a layering of different textures without feeling overwhelming. Take for example a menswear suit, that has two-tone purple appearance matched with violet faux-fur on its peaking lapel, and tassel-adorned glossy brown loafers – the textures are texturing.

As displayed in this campaign, everyday wear is made fun with Marni’s juvenile qualities that transports us to a realm similar to childhood – one of infinite curiosity and little worry.
