London Fashion Week just wrapped, and we’ve noticed a few patterns across this season. From faux fur getting a revival to club-culture dominating as inspo, here’s the trends we noticed coming out of London’s fashion sphere this weekend.
Faux fur had a second life
Faux fur dominated the runway at LFW, seen in the cross-hatched jacket Burberry’s Daniel Lee revealed on the runway and the fur dresses, tops, and toy bunnies at Simone Rocha’s show.
Club-culture was thriving
Nightlife was referenced at a few shows, including Sinead Gorey which was an ode to the post clubbing walk of shame, and LUEDER which actually recreated a rave at its presentation.
Functionality was a priority
As per, functionality at LFW came through in full force. Fashion East’s Olly Shinder blended it with elevated tailoring, and Johanna Parv dropped deconstructed functional pieces.
We were feeling nostalgic
At Simone Rocha, we were taken back to our high school days; Chet Lo revived the Y2K aesthetic of crimped hair (such a throwback); and Sinead Gorey accessorised with the jewellery you might find at the back of your closet.
Nosferatu gained influencer status
Nosferatu dominated at LFW FW25, as seen in the vampy aesthetic of Dilara Findikoglu’s show, which revealed fits Lily-Rose Depp would kill it in, and at Di Petsa where some models wore vampire teeth.
