Acne Studios is expanding its New York footprint with the opening of a new store in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.
Located at 82 Gansevoort Street, the space sits beside the High Line and directly across from the Whitney Museum of American Art, placing the Swedish label at the centre of one of the city’s busiest art, fashion and design neighbourhoods.
Creative director Jonny Johansson developed the store alongside long-standing architectural collaborator Halleroed. A floor-to-ceiling glass exterior opens the shop up to the surrounding streets, giving passers-by an uninterrupted view of its carefully composed interior.
Inside, a structured grid layout is balanced by furniture designed to make the space feel closer to a home than a conventional boutique. Max Lamb’s curved leather sofas and armchairs are joined by wooden stools and low daybeds, creating relaxed pockets where visitors can sit and spend time. Textured granite nods to the Meatpacking District’s industrial history, while pale pink carpeting brings a softer finish to the otherwise raw material palette.
The location also introduces a street-facing Acne Paper library, stocked with a considered selection of books spanning art and fashion alongside the newest issue of the brand’s revived magazine.
Joining Acne Studios’ existing Greene Street flagship, the Meatpacking store will house pieces from the Spring/Summer 2026 and Fall/Winter 2026 collections, including ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories.
Acne Studios Meatpacking is open now.
