Jawara Alleyne is Lewis Hamilton's latest designer flex

At Culted, we love it when celebs put people on to emerging designers, and that's exactly what Lewis Hamilton did when he was pictured wearing pieces from Jawara Alleyne's FW24 collection this week. The look was styled by Eric Mcneal, who has worked with Hamilton on some of his biggest fashion wins.

In recent years, the Formula 1 driver has made a habit of sporting serious fits off the track. But Hamilton's looks go way beyond one-brand outfits and show the attention to detail and clobber know-how of a certified fashion head.

Lewis donned a Fall/Winter 2024 Jawara Alleyne plaid jacket when he was in the Netherlands for the Dutch GP race. In February, the jacket was first seen in Jawara's off-schedule "Eye Of The Storm" show, where the London designer reimagined masculinity across his menswear looks. On the catwalk, the jacket was worn with a belter skirt and pants combo with safety pin detailing and was a certified highlight for sure.

Hamilton paired the plaid jacket with Acne Studios Trompe L'oeil baggy denim and Dior SS25 boots designed by Kim Jones. On the wrist, he wore a one-of-one IWC Portugieser Tourbillon, which went down a time-telling treat with his usual mix of chunky rings. F1 driving aside, this look could've held its own on the front row, given its devilishly good mix of designer pieces from across the fashionverse, from LVMH-owned behemoth Dior to independent London label Jawara Alleyne.

Jawara's DIY design sensibility has won over a few big-name wearers, like Rihanna, who shouted out the designer to her former stylist Mel Ottenburg for Interview magazine. As well as Riri, and Lewis Hamilton, FKA Twigs, Dua Lipa, and Normani have all repped the label. Jawara Alleyne has been nominated for a Fashion Award in the New Establishment Womenswear category by the British Fashion Council. The winner will be announced on December 2.
