Moncler is gearing up for a “Puffy Summer” with its new Summer 2026 collection

Moncler is bringing its unmistakable padded aesthetic into warmer weather with the launch of “Puffy Summer,” a new creative direction for its Summer 2026 Collection that blends lightweight layering, playful design, and global experimental installations.

Unveiled on April 16 in Milan, the collection marks a season shift for the luxury outerwear house, long associated with alpine dressing and winter performance. For Summer 2026, Moncler adapts its signature volume and protective design language into lighter silhouettes intended for transitional climates and outdoor summer living.

At the centre of the campaign is actor Jamie Dornan, who appears in a series of whimsical visuals styled in relaxed seasonal looks from the collection. Known for performances in ‘Belfast’ and ‘The Fall’, Dornan fronts the campaign alongside oversized inflatable-inspired animal sculptures designed by set designer Andy Hillman and his creative team.

The surreal cast of creatures, including a flamingo, octopus, whale, lobster, crab, and seahorse, reflects the collection’s playful summer identity while echoing Moncler’s iconic padded construction. Each sculpture mirrors tones pulled directly from the collection’s seasonal palette.

“There’s something really interesting about taking what Moncler’s known for and shifting it into summer,” Dornan said in campaign materials. “You still get that sense of warmth and puffiness, just in a lighter, more relaxed way.”

The Summer 2026 collection focuses heavily on layering, with lightweight technical fabrics replacing traditional cold-weather materials while maintaining the house’s sculptural aesthetic.

For womenswear, Moncler introduces a softer colour story featuring pastel pinks, forest greens, orange tones, and neutral shades. The collection combines airy outerwear with feminine detailing such as bow closures, mesh pockets, cinched waists, and orchid-inspired prints.

Stripes, gingham patterns, and floral motifs reinforce the seasonal direction. Menswear takes a more vibrant approach, incorporating scarlet red, yellow, sky blue, burgundy, and crisp neutrals across relaxed silhouettes.

Lightweight nylon, chambray, cotton poplin, and washed fabrics dominate the collection, while practical layering pieces, including field jackets, windbreakers, hooded shirt jackets, and down gilets, continue Moncler’s emphasis on function.

To extend the launch beyond retail, Moncler is activating Puffy Summer through large-scale public installations across several major cities. During Milan Design Week, a giant puffy octopus appeared at 10 Corso Como, wrapping around the building façade and extending into the interior alongside mannequins dressed in looks from the new collection. Additional immersive experiences are scheduled in Seoul’s Seongsu district, Paris, Miami, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and cities across mainland China.

Among the standout installations is a four-story flamingo displayed inside Harbour City Mall in Hong Kong, a giant crab at Dover Street Market Ginza in Tokyo, and sculptural displays emerging throughout Miami’s Design District.

The Moncler Collection Summer 2026 line is now available in select stores and through Moncler’s official website.
