Lyst Index 2025: The Lyst Index for Q1 is out and Loewe tops the charts

Lyst has just dropped its Lyst Index for Q1. The fashion tech company and shopping app continues to report on shopping behaviour and brand engagement, and the lineup is interesting but also low-key expected. For 2025, Loewe is back on top, ranking hottest brand for Q1. Jonathan Anderson’s departure helped spike searches by 38% with consumers wanting to invest in JW’s last collection at the Spanish house.

Second on the hottest list was Miu Miu, and third came Saint Laurent, both brands stay winning in the top three. The surprise of the quarter was COS, jumping to 6th place and affirming its position in the industry with its accessible luxury standpoint – this is the first time a mass-fashion label has entered the top 10 list. Chloé ranked 9th, moving up 10 spots; Chemena Kamali’s return to the French house has clearly been delivering. The Row and Bottega Veneta remained in the top 10. Running label On also entered the hottest brand list, sitting at 18th place. And although Prada dropped from second place to fifth, it doesn’t mean Miuccia’s vision doesn’t live in our heads rent free

Lyst’s “moving fast” brands of the quarter were Duran Lantink (who recently won the Woolmark Prize and is also the newly appointed permanent creative director at Jean Paul Gaultier), Dries Van Noten (whose new CD is bringing the heat), and household denim brand Levi’s which recently dropped that hard Beyoncé collab.

Kendrick Lamar’s Celine flares from the Superbowl were the hottest product of Q1. Celine’s Marco jeans sold out as soon as they were IDed on the rapper. Kendrick donning the silhouette drove a 412% increase in searches for “flared jeans” according to Lyst.

Low profile sneakers continued to top the zeitgeist with adidas’s Taekwondo shoe and Puma’s Speedcat ballet flat ranking second and third respectively. Lyst reported a crazy spike of 1300% in searches for “ballet sneakers”, the hybrid silhouette is obvi taking over the world. Uniqlo’s socks sat at eighth position; at $3.80 they’re the most affordable product in Lyst’s Index history (a recession indicator, fr).
