Thom Browne is taking its Fall 2026 collection to the Scottish Highlands, with a new campaign that explores the relationship between the American designer and Scotland’s long-standing textile traditions.
Titled “homeward…”, the campaign was photographed by Robbie Lawrence in and around Birnam, placing the collection within the surrounding countryside and hillside towns. Local residents appear alongside friends of the brand, giving the imagery a distinctly personal feel while connecting Browne’s sharply defined American aesthetic to the landscape and craft traditions of the region.
Scotland’s influence runs particularly deep through Browne’s work. The designer has developed an officially registered grey and navy tartan with Loch Carron, the historic Scottish textile manufacturer, creating a pattern that has become closely associated with the house. For Fall 2026, that relationship provides a foundation for a collection that moves between traditional craftsmanship, technical sportswear and Browne’s signature tailoring.
Knitwear takes a major role, with cashmere and merino wool worked into cable knits, Fair Isle patterns, intricate jacquards and graphic intarsia designs. Classic V-neck sweaters and cardigans sit alongside oversized patchwork pieces, giving familiar Scottish techniques a more contemporary scale and proportion.
The collection also brings technical elements into Browne’s tailoring vocabulary. Down-filled outerwear is combined with fabrics more commonly associated with suiting, including chalk-stripe flannel, cashmere and windowpane tweed. Ski-inspired details such as thumbholes and ribbed gaiters appear across cropped zip vests, football parkas and longer jackets.
That same approach continues into the eveningwear. Traditional black-tie references are reworked through structured dresses, capes and sport coats, with trompe l’oeil details and open-back apron closures disrupting conventional tailoring. Windowpane checks are also transformed through intricate pearl detailing, turning a familiar pattern into something much more decorative.
With “homeward…” Thom Browne presents a collection that feels closely tied to its setting. The Scottish landscape, its textile history and the people who inhabit it all become part of the story, while Browne continues to push the boundaries between tailoring, sport and traditional craft.
The Thom Browne Fall 2026 collection is available now through the brand’s official website, standalone stores and selected luxury retailers.
