JW Anderson is turning its attention to the relationship between personal style and intimacy with its latest campaign, bringing model and actress Dree Hemingway together with her partner, Nick Delli Santi, for their first fashion shoot as a couple.
The imagery explores the way two people can share a visual language while maintaining their own identities. The project was creative-directed by Jonathan Anderson and photographed by Sam Khoury, with Hemingway and Delli Santi fronting the latest iteration of the brand’s unisex denim offering.
At the centre of the campaign is JW Anderson’s "Twisted Denim," a reinterpretation of everyday jeans that introduces an unconventional construction to an otherwise familiar wardrobe staple. The defining detail comes through the front of each pair, where the leg seams bend into an asymmetric curve, giving the denim a more sculptural silhouette and disrupting the traditional straight lines associated with classic jeans.
The collection continues Anderson’s interest in taking recognisable clothing and subtly shifting its proportions or construction. Designed as unisex pieces, the jeans are intended to work across different wardrobes while retaining the distinctive design language associated with the London-based label.
Each piece is made in Japan from premium cotton and finished with a series of considered details, including a pocket bag carrying a “Made in Japan” marking, an oversized embossed leather JW Anderson patch and metal shank buttons. Orange binding provides another small visual signature across the construction.
For the campaign, Hemingway and Delli Santi offer a more relaxed interpretation of the collection, with the pairing reinforcing the idea that matching aesthetics don't necessarily require matching wardrobes. Their first joint shoot provides the backdrop for JW Anderson to explore denim as both an everyday essential and a means of expressing a shared sense of identity.
The new Twisted Denim collection is available now through JW Anderson’s website and selected physical stores.
