You might know Ferrari for its luxury sports cars, but in the fashion world Ferrari Style is known for its innovation, excellence, and craftsmanship in fashion design, three things that its current creative director Rocco Iannone has been honing for years. Celebrating 10 collections at the brand this Milan Fashion Week, Ferrari Style just took to its socials to reveal the teaser for its latest collection under Iannone’s vision.
In Ferrari’s FW26 teaser, which just dropped today, the brand reveals a preview of the inspiration behind its upcoming show, taking place in Milan this week. Skin is the focus, with zoomed in shots of bare human skin blending into snapshots of smooth leather in various hues, and the phrase “Skins I am in” appearing onscreen. As a brand that initially started in the luxury car game, Ferrari’s known for its expert approach to working with leather, so it makes sense that this season it's making the fabric its focus.
Another reason skin makes sense as the reference in Ferrari Style’s teaser is because there's a terminology in car manufacturing that’s often referred to as a “second skin” - liveries. In vehicles, liveries are the graphic designs on a car like branding, logos, or art, which translate easily into fashion. It’s almost like, with each runway collection, Iannone is designing new Ferrari liveries for the human form, a figurative second skin.
Shaping your vision at a brand’s helm for the duration of 10 collections is a huge landmark for any designer, so no doubt Ferrari has big plans to celebrate 10 collections Rocco Iannone on the runway this season. As Iannone told us, “Reaching the tenth collection holds deep symbolic value for me: it marks a moment of maturity in our journey, but also the beginning of a new phase of awareness.”
“Over the years, we have built a recognizable language that engages with Ferrari’s DNA without ever being constrained by it. Today, the maison expresses a more layered vision, where fashion, design, lifestyle, and culture all share the same level of excellence. I do not see this as a final destination, but rather as a natural stage in an evolving journey—one that continues to question the most authentic way to interpret Ferrari’s identity today.”
What exactly the brand has in store this season, we don’t know yet, but if its teaser is anything to go off, you can trust it’ll be big. Watch this space.
