Supreme might be dead, but this Nike SB collab is not

Talks of Supreme and its hold, or lack of, on the current fashion scene have been doing the rounds, with many (including ourselves) believing the brand has lost its hype and now lives six feet under. So the question is: will its Nike SB Dunk collaboration be the lifeline Supreme needs?

Taking to its Instagram to reveal the new pair, the New York-born brand revealed images of its upcoming Supreme x Nike SB Dunks, seen both in Hi and Low versions that will drop in a white and black version respectively. The collab sneakers feature printed graphics from artist Rammellzee on its canvas uppers that come in the form of his typical graffiti-style art, proving Supreme knows its references in cultural fields more expansive than just skateboarding.

The shoes boasts a tan rubber sole with Nike’s Zoom Air unit inside the heel, mesh fabric on its collar and tongue, co-branded logos on the suede heel tabs and footbeds as well as a golden Supreme Box Logo-branded lace lock.

Call it manifesting or wishful thinking, but the collab is already set to be a heavy-hitting one with users jokingly commenting under Supreme’s post that the site has crashed. We’ll have to tune in on August 31 when the Supreme x Nike SB Rammellzee Dunks drop online, but odds are you’re going to need multiple backup tabs if you want a chance of getting your hands on them.
