There’s a new sneaker on the block and Bottega Veneta has already (soft) launched it into the Orbit, well, sort of. The new luxury footwear may not have officially released yet but a Qixi-led campaign and being spotted on Hailey Bieber’s feet will do the trick in hyping up the crowd in anticipation for the Orbit sneaker’s drop.

The sneaker is clearly inspired by the 90s, donning a similar look to the old pairs collecting dust in your dad’s wardrobe (unless you’ve already nicked them). The Orbit comes in several colourways, including an all-black version, a green and silver, and a white and silver iteration.

The shoe might not front Bottega Veneta’s classic intrecciato weaving directly but it does give us layers on layers. The upper fronts cut-out panels overlaid on some mesh presented in a rhombus-shaped pattern, while the outer soles are made out of rubber.

The sneakers are set to launch on August 31 online but only for those in China, while the rest of the world will see a general launch go live on September 15. At least that gives us time to rack up the $1,000 bucks (or more) that it’s going to cost.
