Yesterday we hit up HODAKOVA, the brand headed up by Swedish designer Ellen Hodakova Larsson and well-known for its takes on pieces that look like something else (whether that’s a skirt made of spoons or a dress made of belts), to see its FW25 show, and there’s a lot to talk about.

While the show opened with a few more subtle looks, like simple black sets and tailored jackets, these eventually gave way to the avant-garde style we know HODAKOVA for best, with the brand’s inspiration coming from the orchestra this season in a very real sense.
Drums were worn as skirts, violins as hats, and cellos as dresses at HODAKOVA FW25, which saw models assemble in a literal marching band where they wore the instruments instead of playing them.

These were accompanied by pieces that spun your wardrobe on its head, like the look that saw a model wearing trousers as a hat or one where a pair of slacks became an armless tunic with a belt at the neckline.
At HODAKOVA, nothing is what it seems and we’re into it.
