Creative Studio Jah Jah has teamed up with Salomon for a collaboration which explores functionality and artistic creation. The project, which sees the Salomon ACS Pro receive a muted makeover, explores the myths and creations of West Africa to bring them to life.
The campaign revisits the tale of “Kankourang,” a feared and revered figure in West Africa. It embodies a mystical entity that plays a key, multifaceted role in the ritual life of people who honour him. His presence is intended to maintain social order and preserve unity within the community. The story tells the tale of a child who embarks on a spiritual journey.
The campaign features photographs and a film which was shot in Yoff, a coastal commune in Dakar. The project is heavily inspired by cinema, offering an immersive experience that blurs the lines between reality and mythology.

The Salomon ACS Pro sneaker arrives in a limited-edition Black, Chocolate and High Risk Red colourway. It combines a Kurim structure with an air-flow optimised mesh upper and Salomon Quicklace system.
Salomon has the slopes of the French Alps in its DNA, and since being founded in 1947, it has set itself apart with its outdoor-ready shoes and clothing. Campaign shots for the Salomon x Jah Jah collaboration show the shoes worn in a rugged semi-rural setting surrounded by puddles, a terrain that feels only appropriate for the brand.
Jah Jah was founded in 2017 by Coralie Jouhier and Daquisiline Gomis as an Afro-vegan restaurant located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. It has expanded from a culinary cornerstone of the French capital to spearheading several initiatives, including Jahhiking, Jah Jah Travel and Jah Jah Soundsystem – all reflective of the community it has built. This isn’t the first time the two brands have worked together, having previously worked on a co-branded RX MOC 3.0.
The Salomon x Jah Jah ACS Pro will be released on September 28 on Salomon.com.
