sacai has launched its Holiday collection, comprising reworked accessories, jewellery, and T-shirts, all in the hybridised style we associate with the Chitose Abe-led brand.
This year’s collection features the “Zantan” series, which makes use of leftover fabrics from past collections and reworks them into different pieces. The product offering includes an umbrella, crochet bag, mini pack, and Colotan the Teddy Bear.
Special products with Parisian ceramics workshop, Astier de Villatte, form part of the collection, too. As part of sacai’s fashionable foray into homeware, a patchwork plate joins the offering, reflecting the aesthetic hybridisation of the brand.
Also releasing is a jewellery line-up of off-set necklaces, bracelets and earrings, as well as an embroidered Porter bum bag, handkerchief set, socks, an embroidered sacai logo T-shirt, and rug series. Jacquard Slippers and cushion covers are crafted from fabric from sacai’s Men’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection and the Women’s 2022 Pre-Spring collection.
Stand-out pieces include typically-sacai deconstructed jackets which feature a wide, fleece-lined collar paired with a quilted construction to keep you warm this winter. Patchwork bags are held together with visible, ring-like weaves, exemplifying the craftsmanship of Abe’s unstructured design excellence.
