What’s next for Palace? After a prodigious year of collabs, clothing drops and new collections, it’s clear that everyone’s favourite skate wear brand has no intention of slowing down. With Y-3 partnerships, Champion collaborations and Mercedes alliances tucked under their belt from this year alone, it seems natural that in 2023 Palace will only reach stratospheric new heights of success.
Keep reading for CULTED’s breakdown of the best Palace collaborations of 2022.
PALACE X Y-3
Teaming up with Y-3 to release a Fall/Winter 22 collection, this iconic collaboration brought us a modern Palace take on the adidas and Yohji Yamamoto born brand. Featuring a roll-out of reversible pieces and custom tracksuits, the partnership was announced via a short film starring Lucas Puig and Zinedine Zidane.

PALACE X GUCCI
Maximalism met skate-modernity when Gucci met with Palace to bring us one of the best collabs of the year. With lashings of monogram and glimmers of classic horsebit detailing updated with Palace’s signature tri-ferg, Palace x Gucci was the epitome of streetwear x superbrand energy.

PALACE X CHAMPION
Palace championed Champion with this exclusive capsule collection which featured skate wear essential t-shirts emblazoned with slogans such as “BREWER,” “MELROSE,” “HOWARD,” and “HARAJUKU.” Teased by a beat heavy, nineties style video, the Palace x Champion collab was a nod to skater-roots.
PALACE X CK1
The highly anticipated Palace x Calvin Klein partnership delighted fans with its London and New York based campaign shot by the legendary Alasdair McLellan. Featuring superstars such as Adwoa Aboah and Unknown T alongside Palace skaters Lucien Clarke and Charlie Birch, the collection included basketball-inspired elements with classic CK neutral colour ways.

PALACE X ELTON JOHN
Inspired by Elton John’s legendary career and discography, Palace followed its Reebok Classics collaboration with a collection of Elton-esque velour tracksuits and knitted pieces adorned with the musician’s face. The industry icon spoke highly of the collection, stating that it “really captures the essence of youth and freedom from my time on the road in the ‘70’s. I’ve never been a skateboarder but that’s not going to stop me wearing the lot.”

PALACE X MERCEDES
Speed, power and standing out – that’s what the Palace x Mercedes AMG stood for when it dropped earlier this year. Four signature Mercedes-AMG models were released for the collaboration, each inspired by the four cities that are home to Palace flagship stores. With Palace branded seating and a light up logo projection, this collab was one for the road.
