Welcome back to reality! The decorations might still be up but Christmas is over; it’s time to step into a new week and soon a new year. In the time between Christmas and New Year it’s hard to keep track of what day it is, but this doesn’t mean that anything actually stops happening. We’ve rounded up some of the latest news and drops happening this week that you won’t want to miss, even in your post-Christmas food-coma.
JJJJOUND X PUMA TAKE ON CHINA (AGAIN)
JJJJound is working with PUMA once again to create a new pair of limited suede sneakers which will (devastatingly) only be available in China. In a spectrum of understated, simple designs, the new staple shoe is going to be a trek to get your hands on, unless you take the resale route which will undoubtedly rack up the price. But if you’re looking for a new shoe to dominate 2023, in burgundy and forest green colourways, this subtle sneaker might just be it. Trip to China anyone?

TYLER THE CREATOR WANTS YOU
Tyler the Creator’s brand Le FLEUR* is calling on young Black “tailors, seamstresses, product developers, technical designers, pattern makers, [and] designers” to email their work and résumés for a potential job. The rapper’s clothing brand has taken the fashion scene by storm, pushing out everything from nail polish to mohair cardis, and is now looking to enlist and support young Black creatives in 2023. Despite his normally funny personality, Tyler clarified a no-nonsense request for applications, stating “don’t send bull**** … serious enquiries only”.

JORDAN X UNDEFEATED MAKE A COMEBACK
Back in 2005, LA-based sneaker boutique, UNDEFEATED, partnered with Air Jordan for a limited edition collaboration. Now they’re back with a whole lot more on offer. The UNDEFEATED X Air Jordan 37 – released over the weekend – comes with matching apparel including t-shirts, shorts in the collab’s classic army-green and electric-orange colourways. Among wavy graphic prints some hoodies and tees also feature images of Michael Jordan himself, landing dunks and working out.

COLD WEATHER PENDING – LOOK TO THE NORTH FACE
The North Face Purple Label just dropped the lookbook for their soon-to-be-released SS23 collection and it’ll have you eager to take on the outdoors. Featuring parka jackets, crew-neck sweatshirts, cargo-style shorts and trousers, and more, the collection marries functionality and aesthetic with clean and simple colourways and silhouettes. The garments are designed for all weather, utilising GORE-TEX windproof and waterproof sustainable materials, so come rain or shine The North Face has your fit covered.

SEKKLE DROPS VINTAGE GEMS
Vintage clothing reseller, Sekkle, just released images of their latest drop, and with Christmas money burning a hole in all our pockets it won’t be on sale for much longer. Featuring vintage pieces from iconic brands such as Missoni, Castelbajac, Prada, Stussy, and more, Seekle’s drops never fail to disappoint. Usually shopping vintage means hours of rifling through bins, but Sekkle’s carefully curated collection does all the hard work for you. The only issue is getting to checkout first!

“THINK MORE” WITH AELIZA
London-based brand, AELIZA just released a new capsule collection, supported by a docuseries available to watch on their website and IG. Showcasing their iconic “Black Chenille” symbol and logo, the collection features zip-up fleece jackets, simple black t-shirts, and a plethora of accessories, littered with the drop’s tagline. The docuseries released alongside the drop challenges AELIZA’s audience to “THINK MORE”, following painter Juri Miller through his urban community in London. Whether you like the clothes or the message more, we’re certainly thinking more about AELIZA.
