Today, Reebok officially debuts the Human Rights Now! Collection, which comes as a long-term platform dedicated to the brand’s mission to inspire change and facilitate human rights initiatives globally.
The collection arrives as a callback to the original Human Rights Now! Collection from Reebok in 1988, repurposing original graphics for a more time-appropriate apparel capsule. In addition to the release of the collection, Reebok are donating $270,000 to RISE, a non-profit organization working to educate and empower the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination that plagues many a sport.
“Our Human Rights Now! collection is part of our commitment not just to be better as a brand, but to do better,” said Carmen Andrade Hardaway, Director, Human Rights Now! Product. “From the product to the storytelling to our contribution to RISE, this campaign sits squarely within our brand values, to inspire and defend human rights and human movement, while making sustainable contributions to Black and LatinX communities.”
Alongside the collection, which is made up of Hoodies, T-shirts and more, we see three iconic Reebok silhouettes: the Classic Leather, Club-C and Workout Plus, all featuring the iconic motifs of the 1988 world tour. The motto for the collection is “Let your voice be heard, wear this product with pride. Not just because you support the fight for human rights, but because you have those rights.” – wholly fitting in 2021.
