Palace and Umbro go together like pints and crisps. And now, they’re back for another stellar sportswear-meets-skateboarding collaboration. The link-up forms part of Palace’s sixth drop for its Spring 2024 collection.

Trippy footie tops and trackies are front and centre, with this one topped off with a steezy smattering of vintage sportswear nostalgia that Palace does so well. The first of a series of shots captured by photographer Bafic sees a white “Palio” football jersey and navy track pants, worn oversized for some large-and-in-charge loveliness.

Next up, we see some psychedelic-esque designs applied on sky-blue jerseys worn with shorts and over-the-knee white socks. Later, we see Palace lookbook legend Dino donning a laser-beam printed jersey with black over-the-knee socks. Further images showcase a full zip-up tracksuit with football crest branding on the chest and thigh. Rounding out the collection is a Palace x Umbro baseball cap and toque-style beanie.

This merging of trippy graphics with Umbro’s performance wear offering feels like an inescapable nod to sportswear’s significance in rave culture – something Palace has nailed through its core offering and in collaborations with Umbro, Evisu and many more. Previous campaigns have seen the brand work with Legendary MC Skibadee and Joy Orbison

Palace and Umbro have collaborated multiple times, first coming together in 2013 for a pub-centred campaign focused on football. In the promo video, we saw Palace skate team members turn back the clocks to the golden days of the beautiful game, tapping friends and family of the brand for a pint-packed knees-up.

This was the first collaboration between Palace and a non-skate brand, setting the foundations for the label’s football to high fashion expansion.

The Palace x Umbro collaboration will launch in-store and online on Friday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m. GMT. For further release information, head to the Palace website
