Palace has teamed up with Japanese adventure brand nanamica for its latest collaboration. Taking to Instagram to tease the upcoming release, we saw co-branded GORE-TEX parkas, t-shirts, windbreakers, and liners, perfect for the colder weather ahead.
The collaboration arrives in time for nanamica’s 20th anniversary, a brand founded by Eiichiro Homma in 2003 following stints at Helly Hansen and business development at Goldwin. The name nanamica means house of the seven seas in Japanese, reflecting its founder’s aspirations for an adventurous, sporting lifestyle.
Standout pieces from the collection include a sage-green parka and a coach jacket, all which feature GORE-TEX detailing, a fabric which the skate brand regularly works into its collections. Palace is no stranger to collaborating with Japanese brands, having previously worked with The North Face Purple label and Evisu. nanamica is no stranger to streetwear collaborations either, having previously worked with Puma and Converse.
Palace Skateboards was founded in 2009 and has since developed into a pillar of the London skate scene while positioning itself in fashionable circles thanks to a slew of successful collaborations, which includes Gucci, adidas, Umbro and Stella Artois, with nanamica now joining the brand’s long list of collaborators.
The Palace x nanamica collection will be released in-store and via Palace’s webstore on Friday October 6, at 11AM, with a Japan and WeChat release on Saturday, October 7 also at 11AM.
