MCM has teamed up with bicycle connoisseurs URWAHN to create a luxury e-bike for AW21. It is the first 3D printed luxury bike around, and the run is strictly limited to just 50 units being made worldwide.
This category expansion is a bold leap forward for the brand, who aptly describe themselves as being committed to ‘the journey’. Perhaps most known for their distinctive monogram, the bike release celebrates MCM’s 45-year heritage in mobility, while reflecting wider desires to live a more conscious lifestyle. Sustainability concerns are also reflected in the bike’s build in Germany, which ensures minimal shipping emissions.
The ebike appears as part of MCM’S AW21 ‘M’ETAVERSE’ campaign, which features long-time collaborator and musician A$AP Nast, alongside models and digital creators Stella Lucia and Kiddy Akita. Styled in full looks from the collection, the bike is also in full monogram, so be prepared to flex on your morning commute.
Expect to see the bikes displayed at MCM flagship stores around the world – but if you like what you see, you better move quickly – the 40 remaining bikes will be available to purchase as made-to-order from the MCM website. You even get a matching water bottle too!
