Welcome to the House of Acne Paper; make yourself at home.
The latest issue of Acne Paper, the publication created by Acne Studios, is inspired by the “idea of a house”, although not your average London semi. Featuring images reminiscent of a fever dream, the publication’s 18th Issue is a celebration of the surreal, highlighting “a fantasy collection of furniture, art, and objects” from an array of contemporary designers.

The culmination is something evocative of Alice’s escape to Wonderland, a history of decorative arts littered with surreal objets d’art, ancient antiques, and invaluable masterworks.

Littered with products found in every aspect of a home – from interior to fashion to lifestyle – the House of Acne Paper is spread across ten chapters which have each been allocated a respective “room”. The book (or “house”) is broken into nine rooms and a garden, each telling a photographic story and featuring an informal interview with a different creative.

All in all the ten individuals highlighted within House of Acne span every corner of the creative fields, including the worlds of art, design, architecture, performance, literature, and performance. In particular, the idea of “performance” is an aspect to note, as Acne Paper self-proclaims “there is a great sense of theatre under our roof.”

If you’ve ever wanted to snoop around the home of an eccentric creative, this is your chance. Turn the pages of the 18th Issue of Acne Paper and be transported to the surreal interior of another world, aka The House of Acne.
