Is Lewis Hamilton the best dressed F1 driver ever?

Lewis Hamilton made F1 history over the weekend, winning his ninth race at Silverstone, the most any driver has won at any track in F1 history. The full-throttle event was the usual nail-biting, Sunday scaries-smashing action we needed to end the weekend on a high. But it wasn’t just Lewis Hamilton’s driving that had us hooked; it was his dressing, too.

When it comes to his clobber, Hamilton has been hitting, showing his support of London menswear designer Grace Wales Bonner and dishing out designer looks with Dior. In 2023, Hamilton attended the fashion awards donning bespoke SS24 Wales Bonner tailoring, accented with jewellery and a ceremonial brooch. The F1 star has continued to support the designer from the front row, joining Wales Bonner’s ever-growing army of A-listers who show up each season.

When it comes to Dior, the driver has been seen sporting the Maison’s Kim-Jones-designed menswear pieces on and off the track. Oh, and did we mention he flexed his fashion muscles when he wore a Bottega Veneta ribbed stretch cotton tank top, baggy twill pants, and Highway ankle boots? Yeah, he did that to us.

It doesn’t stop there. Lewis Hamilton has been in the fashion driving seat with Balenciaga, Diesel, Louis Vuitton, Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry and a boatload more. Burberry dressed the designer in an embroidered coat and trousers combo for the Met Gala, cementing Hamilton’s place in the fashion sphere and setting the bar for Formula 1 fits.

After Hamilton’s victory at the weekend, we can’t wait to see what his winner’s wardrobe contains, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled.
