Culted’s best dressed at the Met Gala 2024

Last night was the first Monday in May, which translates to Met Gala day to those who celebrate. Today, sleep deprived fashionistas are feeling it thanks to last night’s style Super Bowl, (trust us, we’re two coffees deep writing this), but the event was for a good cause. It serves as a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, supporting this year’s forthcoming costume exhibition “Sleeping Beauties Reawakening Fashion,” taken from JG Ballard’s novel Garden of Time, which depicts the age old tale of the mega rich sheltering from the riots taking place around them. Interesting, we know. Take a look at Culted’s Met Gala best dressed below.

Bad Bunny in Maison Margiela

Bad Bunny’s custom Maison Margiela by John Galliano look was jam-packed with theatrics, and we expected nothing less.

Zendaya in Maison Margiela

Zendaya wearing custom Maison Margiela was the moment.

Troye Sivan in Prada

Troye Sivan gave us a nostalgic nod to ‘00s Prada, working in a bondage vest to his slim suit pants and shirt. Full marks for the butterfly belt brooch too.

Barry Keoghan in Burberry

Barry Keoghan and Burberry is a match made in fashion-meets-film heaven. But last night the Saltburn Star turned back the clocks with a towering top hat and pocket watch – very on-theme.

Lana Del Rey in Alexander McQueen

Lana’s custom Alexander McQueen by Seán McGirr look referenced the House’s Fall/Winter 2006 collection, weaving hawthorne twigs into the design with a huge headpiece crafted from Kim Kardashian on her toes on the red carpet.

Taylor Russell in LOEWE

Taylor Russell’s LOEWE look was major. A painted wooden bodice, and ivory skirt paired a rigid upper with a flowing lower half, creating the perfect equilibrium on the red carpet.

Lewis Hamilton in Burberry

Lewis Hamilton donned a monochrome floral embroidered overcoat, and thorn chain to make his Met Gala 2024 menswear moment with Burberry.

Charli XCX in Marni

Charli XCX’s ripped white dress was crafted from patchwork T-shirts from the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s and came courtesy of Marni

FKA Twigs in Stella McCartney

Making a Met Gala appearance covered in diamonds with Stella McCartney. Yeah, FKA Twigs did that.

Ben Simmons in Thom Browne

There was no excuse for Ben Simmons being late last night. He scored on the red carpet by complimenting his Thome Browne fit with a time telling briefcase.

Sydney Sweeney

Last night, Sydney Sweeney‘s Euphoric look came courtesy of Miu Miu, and it was epic.
