For years, fashion insiders have been insisting that trainers are dead. But that feels far from true – there’s an overwhelming amount of drops currently, from culted new collabs to OGs revamped. To save you from sneaker overstimulation, we have picked out eight of the best releases atm.
The Y/Project x Salomon Speedcross 3

RIP Glenn Martens at Y/Project, we’re really gonna miss you. One of his final projects at the subversive brand, this collaboration reinvents the Salomon trail running silhouette with a ruched detail, Y/Project-style. The Speedcross 3 is available now in two colourways: black and white.
The Junya Watanabe Man x New Balance 1906L

The much-anticipated Junya x New Balance snoafer is finally releasing. The sneaker-loafer hybrid in the all-black colourway is dropping on October 18th – prob gonna sell out in a millisecond but worth trying to cop, the fit checks would be god-tier.
The LOEWE x On Cloudtilt

Spanish craftsmanship x Swiss engineering is what we want to see. Swiss sportswear running giant On has collaborated with LOEWE for four new colourways of the Cloudtilt sneaker. The knit silhouette is available to shop now.
The Phileo x Salomon Alpinway SP2

Parisian designer Phileo (you might know him from that chair installation at DSM Paris) has teamed up with Salomon to create a suede, textured trail shoe to wear on any adventures. The Alpinway SP2 comes in a grassy green and black with mesh panels and laces. The sneaker releases on October 24th at DSM.
The Nike Air Rift

The sporty tabi icon is back on the market in three new solid colours: black, white and red. The ‘96 split-toe silhouette, which was originally designed to replicate the foot motion of barefoot athletes, comes in a smooth leather upper and its classic Velcro strap.
The HOKA Stealth/Tech Bondi 8 Caged

HOKA has expanded its Stealth/Tech collection and this earthy brown colourway is a coppable one. The textured ribbed sole and intarsia upper give a new futuristic look to the original high-performance running trainer.
The Salomon x MM6 Maison Margiela XT-Mary J

MM6 has linked up with fellow French brand Salomon to reimagine its cult XT-4 sneaker into a mary jane, dropping the laces and going for a strap design instead. The shoe continues to have its Contagrip outsole for ultimate traction. The collab comes in two colourways, and is available now.
The Puma Speedcat

The favourite ‘99 crep just came out with two new colourways. The thin racing suede silhouette, which was based on footwear worn by Grand Prix drivers in the ‘80s and ‘90s, is a hard staple for autumn.
The Nike Air Max 95

The ‘95 icon is out with a new black, anthracite and hyper crimson colourway and the classic foam midsole and standout cushioning. This colourway is available now, exclusively at JD Sports.
