Hermès went back to its roots and tapped into its equestrian heritage for FW25. The dedication to the house’s rich history of horseriding was translated into a sea of pointed riding boots, leathers and saddle gear (of riding pants, jackets and vests) in blacks and neutrals. And although designer Nadège Vanhée looked to the stables for inspo, she also took biker elements (the other kind of riding) for jackets and all-leather looks.
But, the stars of the show were obviously the Hermès bags. New iterations of the signature models like the Bolide bag, the Birkin and the Kelly were presented – loved the unclasped bags on the runway, very fun detail – in a cold combination of wool and leather textures in forest green, grey and brown tones.
Also, looks like new shapes emerged in the house of Hermès: mini buttery leather trunk-shaped clutches in luxurious tan hues complemented the black monochrome fits, and a small, saddle-shaped shoulder that had a similar vibe to the Della Cavalleria appeared in a rich brown and a mustard yellow. Needless to say, we got our eyes on that one.
