We’ve made it to the end of the week and to celebrate we’ve got some fun new drops for you. This one’s for all the gamers out there: Gentle Monster has teamed up with Overwatch 2 to drop a pair of character-inspired shades. With the Notting Hill Carnival gearing up, Guinness have been working on a very special project with Linett Kamala while Vans has teamed up with two BMX legends to take on their classic shoes.
Gentle Monster transcends reality with Overwatch 2
Gearing up to the release of Overwatch 2: Invasion, Gentle Monster is going gamer mode. Together, the two have linked up to create a pair of tinted “TOKKI” sunglasses that merge reality with the world of gaming, inspired by the game hero D.Va. It’s not just sunglasses though, as a code will be available with each purchased pair that will allow users to unlock exclusive skins and other in-game goodies. The TOKKI glasses are now available online.

Guinness is celebrating the women of Notting Hill Carnival
The Notting Hill Carnival has always been one crazy party celebrated by the whole of London, and those who travel into the city to attend. This year, Guinness is teaming up with Linett Kamala, the first woman to ever perform at Carnie, in celebration of the strong female voices that make up the Carnival’s Sound System. With the Original Sounds Collective, a community-led mentorship programme will be put into place to encourage and support women in the sound system scene, with Linett being a part of the mentorship panel.

Vans links up with BMX legends
The BMX riders Perris Benegas and Dennis Enarson have joined the Vans family to create a collection of classics. Inspired by the passion for their sport, the collection takes on two iconic silhouettes: the SK8 Hi’s and the Slip-ons. The capsule also includes ready to wear pieces like button-ups, tees and socks with a brand new logo designed by Perris and Dennis, which are all available on Vans’ site. On top of that, the two have paid homage to their community and BMX culture in general by creating Integration, a short film that highlights the collection in its environment.

ELLISS is made in London for AW23
For its AW23 collection, ELLISS gave us soft yet powerful femininity with silk dresses and two-tone knitwear pieces. The pieces were actually inspired by Gunta Stözl, the German textiles designer who was a key female figure in the Bauhaus movement, and Amelia Rosina Lane, a dressmaker and activist who worked with Alice Louisa Belgrave on a bloomer dress. The full collection is now available on ELLISS’ website as well as other retailers.

It’s giving bad b*tch. The American pop, rock and R&B singer BAYLI has just released her new song BOTH which merges an array of different sounds packaged into an absolute banger. The song was produced by the 18-year-old Sophie Grey, and has a pop-flirty feel while maintaining that girl energy who just wants all the pleasures she can get from life.
