Yesterday, attendees of London Fashion Week, from influencers to press, clambered down the steps of a lower ground carpark just off of Oxford Circus to sit in the dingy, dark space and watch a fashion show. Where rows of cars were usually parked, rows of chairs were instead laid out throughout a vast room lit in blue light and slowly filling with smoke. This was Sinead Gorey's FW25 show, and it was inspired by the walk of shame.
The week before the show, we headed down to Sinead Gorey's studio to get a first look at the collection and find out more about her inspiration behind it. Talking to Sinead, she said, "the inspiration behind this season actually just came from a journey home from a night out. I was just kind of looking around, and admiring how girls at the end of the night, at 6 in the morning, throw looks together for their "walk of shame" home."
This much is evident in the casual chaos of the styling of Sinead Gorey's FW25 show. Pieces are paired that you wouldn't normally expect to see styled together, but somehow, they just work. Sinead explained, "The looks are completely mismatched: jackets thrown over little dresses, track suit bottoms under mini skirts, holding their heels wearing flip-flops."

Accessorising the collection were heeled and bejewelled Converse sneakers, a collab that we saw at Sinead Gorey's last show that continued into this season this well. But there was another brand collaboration on the runway that was slightly more usual, given Sinead Gorey's FW25 show linked up with KCF. Models carried cups of soda, takeaway bags of chicken, and even snacked on burgers as they walked down the runway - because what's a walk of shame without fried chicken?
