Unpacking Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus looks and the designers behind them

Travis Scott is touring his Circus Maximus show worldwide and recently turned Tottenham’s White Hart Lane stadium into the land of Cactus Jack. Since hitting the road, the “Sicko Mode” singer has gone all in, bringing Ice Spice and Central Cee on stage for the London leg of the performance, stoking the fires of the internet's hottest love triangle drama which involves Cench’s on-and-off relationship with Madeline argy. Internet noise aside, Travis’ tour fits have been hitting.

He’s no stranger to seriously nice clobber and often flexes his fashion guns when he’s on tour. From vintage band tees to archival Yohji Yamamoto and pieces from his ultra-hyped Travis Scott x Dior collection, nothing is off the cards when it comes to stunting on stage.

Keep reading for the Circus Maximus rundown.

Custom Oakley armour

What do you wear if you’ve got American football at 7 p.m. and a Circus Maximus performance at 8 p.m.? If you’re Travis Scott, custom Oakley armour, of course. The protection in question is made by Paris-based designer Courtney McWilliams, who has made body armour fits for Travis in previous 2023 performances. And, given his new airborne stage launches, we reckon he might need more in future.

One of one shades

We can’t count on Tottenham for sunshine, but we can count on Travis to wear sunglasses in Tottenham. The shades in question are from Yuma Burgess, the London-based visual artist behind Travis’ crazy goggle-like sunglasses worn on stage. The Houston rapper wore Burgess’ spacey specs when he was on stage with Kanye, and the designer has been on the radar of Travis fans ever since.

Padded shorts straight from California

Given how crazy things can get at a Travis Scott gig, we’re not surprised the musician has adopted a kind of warrior-meets-contact sports look to perform. In keeping with the armoured theme, Scott has turned to California-based designer Greg Ross to cook up some super sick padded shorts and tops, reworking Hockey protection into a serious on-stage look. Travis has sported compression tops underneath the pads, also designed by Ross, cementing his relationship with the designer.

A new Jordan Jumpman Jack colourway

On the UK leg of the Circus Maximus tour, Travis debuted a new “Red/Gum” colourway of his latest Travis Scott x Nike sneaker, the Jordan Jumpman Jack. With no word of a release date yet, and some social media seals of approval, we know these will seel out fast.
