Fancy a new read? Acne Studios is marking its 30th anniversary by preparing to launch the 21st edition of “Acne Paper,” entitled ‘Autoportrait’.

The commemorative issue reflects on the brand’s three-decade journey through fashion, art, architecture, design, and publishing, presenting a broad creative self-examination of the cultural universe that has developed around the Stockholm-based label since its establishment in 1996. The publication showcases the brand’s unique perspective, shaped by exploration, creativity, and independent thinking.

The magazine’s cover was photographed by Carlijn Jacobs and styled by Imruh Asha, featuring model Lulu Tenney in a nude portrait that conveys a sense of freedom, closeness, and celebration. Central to the issue are four self-portrait features created by Jordan Hemingway, Guinevere van Seenus, Malick Bodian, and Katerina Jebb. Readers will also find a specially curated archive story from Acne Studios, photographed by Casper Sejersen and styled by George Krakowiak.

In addition to its visual content, the 27 x 22 cm publication includes exclusive conversations with influential figures from the creative world, including Sadie Coles, Honey Dijon, Max Lamb, Viviane Sassen, Robbie Barrat, and Swedish actress Lena Endre. The issue is further enriched by essays from writers such as Natasha Fraser, Mark Holgate, Johanna Agerman Ross, Xerxes Cook, Ben Evans, Frances Armstrong Jones, and Vince Aletti. Together, these contributions create a retrospective look at Acne Studios’ independent identity and the multidisciplinary vision led by creative director Jonny Johansson.

“Acne Paper” Issue 21, ‘Autoportrait’, will be released worldwide through Acne Studios on June 17, 2026.
