Yesterday, Sinéad O’Dwyer presented her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, “Everything Opens To Touch,” at Copenhagen Fashion Week, transforming the city’s Opera Park with her inclusive, body-loving approach. Packed with inclusive, intricate designs, we saw a her signature creations reimagined alongside a solid list of collaborators, including Mahalia and Lucy Edwards.
Those familiar with O’Dwyer’s work will know that the Irish designer has shown in London for the past few seasons. Earlier this year, O’Dwyer was named the winner of the Zalando Visionary Award, which granted the designer €50,000 and a slot on the Copenhagen Fashion Week schedule. For a designer like O’Dywer, who is rethinking how fashion approaches inclusivity by using multiple fit models rather than one sample size, this support will help the brand continue its industry-leading approach to inclusive fashion.
O’Dywer explored set design and a wider world of creativity surrounding the collection. Yesterday’s harbourside location was transformed with sculptures based on 3D scans of Sinéad’s early cast works of artist Jade O’Belle, a long-time muse, friend, and artist. Witch Trials and Cosha provided sound, with the latter reading a poem written for the show by London-based author Anastasiia Fedorova.
O’Dwyer’s signature shibari-inspired harnesses were seen with short sleeves, and deep blue denim was used to craft mini-skirts and shirts, which were fastened with branded metal hardware. Ruffled straps and ruched hemlines appeared throughout, with Harness Tights exposing neon lace underwear and continuing O’Dwyer’s celebration of the female body. SS25 also saw O’Dwyer collaborate with Grounds Footwear on a new take on its bubble-soled shoes and underwear was provided by Savage x Fenty.
Sinéad O’Dywer’s cast of models included Mahalia, Alva Claire, and Lucy Edwards, a presenter and blindness activist who took to the runway with her guide dog. A second partnership with the Hair and Care Foundation offered a runway experience to blind and low-vision guests using audio descriptions and fabric swatches, working with The Danish Association of the Blind.
Sinéad O'Dywer's SS25 show was a reflection of the brand's values, celebrating the female body through its inclusive sculptural designs. O'Dywers considered approach, where clothing is made with the wearer in mind put clothing for every body front and centre at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
