Kim Jones has announced the launch of his namesake label

The announcement marks a new chapter for Jones, who stepped down from Dior Men in January 2025 after seven years at the helm.

Kim Jones is officially going solo.

Following an impressive career at some of fashion's biggest luxury fashion houses, the British designer has announced the launch of KIM JONES, his own independent label, with its first collection scheduled for Autumn/Winter 2027.

The announcement marks a new chapter for Jones, who stepped down from Dior Men in January 2025 after seven years at the helm. Before that, he spent seven years shaping Louis Vuitton's menswear division and four years overseeing womenswear and couture at Fendi. Now, instead of taking on another major fashion house, Jones is putting his name back in the spotlight.

What's interesting though, is that this is not Jones' first attempt at building a namesake brand. Jones originally launched his own label in 2023, shortly after graduating from Central Saint Martins, before closing it in 2008 to become creative director at Dunhill. Almost two decades later, he's returning to the project with a wealth of experience behind him.

So, what can we expect? The new label will focus on versatile clothing that moves beyond traditional menswear and womenswear categories, with tailoring, craftsmanship and everyday functionality at its core. Working alongside longtime collaborator Lucy Beeden, Jones will develop the collections from London, with garments predominantly manufactured in Japan and leather goods produced in Italy.

The brand is also promising a more considered approach to pricing, although exact figures have yet to be revealed. Jones is expected to revisit elements of his extensive design archive while introducing new pieces that reflect his interests in fashion, art, and contemporary culture.

As for the rollout, the first collection will arrive online in mid-2027 through the brand's official website. A physical flagship will follow in October 2027 at Central Yards in Hong Kong, with further stores in Asia also planned.
