We’ve linked up with Bentley Motors and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London to give five BA Fashion graduates one challenge: reimagine ‘Black Dandyism’ —Inspired by this year’s MET Gala theme "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style"— through the eyes of Bentley, and pitch their designs to some of the fashion industry's most GOATed names. With a legendary panel set to judge their designs, keep reading to find out more about where our five BA Fashion graduates come from, what their aim is, and how we’ll choose our winner.

To help our graduate designers bring their visions to life, we’re giving them a BTS look at how Bentley’s new Bentayga Atelier is made, a design-focused, special-edition SUV that’s pushing the limits of luxury vehicle innovation. With hand-stitched interiors and sustainable leather, the attention to detail and craftsmanship unrivalled.
The five designers that will be bringing their takes to the project include: Richard Butler, who’s known for his insane draped fabrics and tulle looks; Ella Douglas, who’s bringing next level texture to the project; Joshua Ewusie, best known for his detail driven designs; Zac McGarry, who’s bringing a tough play on prints and patterns; and finally Thea Si, whose designs take textiles to the max.

The aim of our five designers is to turn that attention to detail into bold, wearable fits, where clean silhouettes, rich textures, tech-forward materials and sharp tailoring meet automotive precision—all inspired by the GOATed Bentley DNA.
So, what’s the prize? A prize for future projects and the coveted opportunity to collaborate with a prestigious brand like Bentley, as well as input from the industry leaders and GOATed fashion experts that will be judging our competitors’ designs. It doesn’t get better than that.

Stay up to date as we follow our five up-and-coming designers, taking inspiration from this rich cultural history and the OG car brand’s automotive excellence to create a one-of-a-kind garment.
