It’s been a few days since our last A$AP Rocky trial update, but we’re back on business. Witnesses A$AP Twelvyy and Rocky’s tour manager Lou Levin took the stand.
Rocky is being prosecuted for firing a gun at former mob member A$AP Relli in a 2021 incident on a Hollywood street corner. Rocky pleaded not guilty to the two felony counts of assault with a firearm – which could lead to 24 years in prison.
After days of Relli’s inconsistent testimony where he kept changing details, A$AP Twelvyy took the stand on Friday, giving a plot-twisting testimony. The long-time friend and collaborator of both Rocky and Relli testified that Rocky fired a “starter pistol” (aka a fake gun) during the square-up: “[Relli] told him to shoot that fake-ass gun,” Twelvyy said on the stand, backing the defense.
At some point, the prosecutor asked Twelvyy what “AWGE” stands for, and you could hear Rocky saying “Don’t say it.” After all, the brand’s #1 rule is “Never reveal what AWGE means.” Relli kept the meaning quiet.

Twelvyy contested Relli’s testimony of Rocky being the first to throw hands and pointing a gun to Relli’s stomach. Twelvyy’s testimony argued that Relli was actually the aggressor, picking Rocky up causing his pants to drop. Twelvyy said that when Rocky did fire the gun, it was to stop Relli from attacking A$AP Illz (who was also at the scene).
Yesterday, Lou Levin, who has worked with Rocky since 2010, took the stand. Levin also backed the defense, telling the court that Rocky’s gun was a prop: “Security and I thought it would be a good idea”. Levin told the jury that he got the gun from a video shoot and that it was returned to the music video’s co-director, who no longer had it in his possession, and thus the defense couldn’t present it to the authorities.
Rocky is set to go on the stand today.
