With Tyler, the Creator’s latest album Chromakopia still in heavy rotation, many of us are still left stunned at how Tyler managed to drop so many meticulously crafted songs on one album. Well, it’s like he’s read our minds because he just released a YouTube video titled, “Mask Is Off.”
The video provides an exclusive insight into the making of Chromakopia, from ad-libs to instrumentals to even unconventional sound layering methods that show Tyler really getting into the zone. Special features like Daniel Caesar, Teezo Touchdown, and Lola Young can be seen in the video, giving their respective verses their all.
However, the highlight of the video was the creation of the track “Sticky”, which showed performances from Sexyy Red, Jazmine R. Freeman, Laila Simone and Amari K. Jones in the studio for the rough recording of their verses.
It was a perfect showing of Tyler’s passion for music and how meticulous he can get with his craft, resulting in immortal music that will surely be enjoyed for decades to come.
