Earlier this month, we hit up our Culted friends and family and invited them to Polzeath, a scenic seaside haven on the coast of Cornwall, for a week of surfing, driving, good food and great vibes. We’ve been wanting to give back to our community a little bit, so we organised this wholesome road trip powered by our friends at Mercedes-Benz, who equipped us with the sleekest off-road luxury G-Wagons to drive all the way from London to the north of Cornwall, a place that’s very close to our Culted Founder and Editor-In-Chief Pavel Dler’s heart.
You know as well as we do that the best group trips have merch, and we obvs had to make our own. We dripped our guests with limited edition hoodies, caps and tees to keep cosy in the Cornish air. When it came to food, we kept it local, with Pavel taking us to all his favourite spots in the area, including fire food spot Four Boys, the St Kew Inn pub and cult venue Rum Bar, supporting Polzeath independent businesses and sampling only the best of local produce. For our first night out there our guests – including the likes of model besties Calum Harper and Kit Price, Diet Paratha’s Anita, big energy crew DJs SHAQ and Taylah Elaine, our guy Gully Guy Leo, and more – enjoyed fresh, local goods and only the best of seafood at Four Boys, a cosy cafe and restaurant with a beach view.
Our second day started bright and early, as our Culted community hit up the waves on Polzeath Beach (an IYKYK surfing hotspot), with our (limited edition) custom surfboards in collaboration with Cornish sled makers Zedsleds, and relaxed in a yoga session followed by a sauna retreat. Zedsleds also showed us around their workshop, where we could see them craft in action. Local brewery Bluntrock, who we collabed with for a limited edition hoppy lager, gave us a tour of their brewery, and hosted an insane dinner in their taproom space.
We couldn’t leave Cornwall without seeing the beautiful landscapes, so on our last full day out there we spent the morning hiking on the coast of Trebarwith – the rocky scenes were crazy. On our last night, we celebrated with a bang, closing off the notorious Rum Bar on Polzeath beach for a Culted takeover with great food and the drinks flowing, including our exclusive Culted x Bluntrock lager collab on tap, and DJ DAMNSHAQ on the decks curating the best vibes.
