CULTED FRIENDS & FAMILY: CELEBRATING LEVI’S® 501®
CULTED’s friends and family turned out Thursday night (decked appropriately in denim, of course) to celebrate a whole 150 years of Levi’s® iconic 501® jeans. Hosted at the Haus of Strauss near Carnaby Street in LDN, street food chef Whyte Rushen laid out a San Francisco inspired menu for our guests.
Levi’s have been going mad on celebrations for the 501® jeans this year – you’ve probably seen the ads all around the place, they’re hard to miss. 150 years ago, Jacob Davis didn’t know his invention of the copper rivet would legit change the course of fashion – but it did. Bringing his invention to Levi Strauss, the two worked on a pair of jeans together that would be named the 501®, and the rest is history. This year, Levi’s® has been on a mission, already collabing with Nigo and Stüssy on remixes of the 501®.
And it doesn’t stop there. We teamed up with the denim brand and Chef Whyte Rushen to host a special dinner event at the Haus of Strauss in Soho for our friends and family. With attendees including Navinder, who brought his own pens to tag just about anything in sight, photographer and artist Jack Bridgland, content creator Sausage Lord, music artist Col3trane, content creator and art director Magda, artist Max (AKA Dubious Feux) among others that were wining and dining that ran into the peak of the night.
Oysters and lobsters were sprawled all over the tables with our seafood-themed menu specifically curated for the evening. It’s not a party without alcohol, so we had a curated selection of cocktails presented by Cîroc, as well as having beer by Noam. To cure the hangover, our guests received relaxing CBD tea from JP’s Originals and face masks from Horace.
The evening wouldn’t be complete without some music, so we invited Cesta to entertain our guests with an old school RnB sound, and all your favourite throwback tracks. As guests kept pouring in, Levi’s® impact was loud and clear: everyone pulled up in denim.
