Virgil Abloh’s and OFF-WHITE’s latest collaboration with Nike took “The Ten” one step further by releasing 50 pairs of Dunks at once. The pairs build upon the brand’s motto of “defining the grey area between black and white”, with #1 being white, #50 being black, and the remaining 48 representing said grey area.
As limited pairs were released in raffles via the Nike SNKRS app this week, we decided to take the opportunity to dedicate this week’s CULTED CURATES series to the sneaker release. Assuming some of you were lucky enough to cop these dunks, the team has chosen their favourite lot #, and curated a shopping guide with suggestions of how you could style them. LOT 50
Out of the 50 options, I naturally went for the only black pair, “lot number 50 of 50”. I actually only have one pair of completely black sneakers and they’re the Maison Margiela x Reebok Tabi toe sneaker. I don’t tend to wear black footwear much as I find other colours more effortless to style, but these are different. I’m into the touches of chrome and purple and think they’d be easy to style for Autumn/Winter, as to why I paired them with the C2H4 jacket. Out of my chosen items, Martine Ali’s necklace chain is probably my favourite, a nice touch of metallic to match the bling-y swoosh on the sneakers.

LOT 1
Probably one of the most hyped sneakers out of the 50, I went with Lot #1 with the hope i’ve done them justice. Seeing as summer is basically over, even though it’s still August, I’ve gone with an A/W fit to carry me through to the next season. A statement shoe deserves some statement denim, so who better to turn to than Maison Margiela. The relaxed fit and cut out sides give them a step up from your usual jeans. It makes the price 〜 almost 〜 justifiable. The yellow sole of the sneaker is definitely my favourite part, so I added the yellow lens sunglasses from Port Tanger to tie in the small pop of colour, keeping the rest of the fit fairly minimal. Now it’s likely I won’t be able to get my hands on a pair of these any time soon, but that won’t stop me from manifesting it anyway. Who knows, maybe a stroke of luck will swing my way and i’ll win one of those pesky online raffles.

LOT 25
I’m really riding out the last of the summer heat here, in maybe the final shopping guide of the year where I can get away with writing about my love for 5” Patagonia Baggies shorts. It’s not all boring though, I’ve spiced things up with some – albeit pricey – tie-dyed anonymousism socks and a Seattle Mariners hat to match. With the sun shining and baggies shorts on, one doesn’t have to style, but I’ve gone above and beyond here. The only improvement would be to swap that T-shirt out for something vintage, then leave the Mariners cap out in the sun to get the perfect fade on it. Maybe scuff up the Off-Whites as well while you’re at it, so they’re not gleaming in the sun.

LOT 32
Ah, Virgil Abloh has done it again, given us an abundance of things we didn’t know we needed – this time in the form of FIFTY pairs of Off White branded Nike dunks. No matter what this week’s shopping guide entailed, I was determined to include the UMAMISM Hugs and Kisses knitted sweater after seeing it on Instagram, so after finding out we were styling the new “dear summer” dunks, I chose my colorway accordingly – lot 32 for it’s blue cross-over laces. After opting for some white corduroy flares (desperate for them to come back into fashion), accessorise with a white Prada bucket hat and a Jacquemus Le Grand Bambino bag and you have an outfit that’s more than #cultedfits worthy.
UMAMIISM HUGS AND KISSES SWEATER, US$100 / £73
