Burberry has released the lookbook for its upcoming Fall Winter 2021 pre-collection. The collection takes inspiration from the brand’s long-standing relationship with the outdoors, featuring a multitude of heavy-duty outerwear pieces in both camouflage and bold colourways.
The collection, designed by Riccardo Tisci includes signature garments that have been given a ‘Gorpcore’ aesthetic. These include overcoats adorned with detachable suede tactical pockets as well as oversized puffer vests.
Burberry has also included a number of all-over print jackets, with matching kilts and trousers. These pieces come in a digital style camouflage design.
This is the latest in a longstanding trend of heavy-duty clothes that are not only fashionable but offer resistance during the cold winter months. The brand has styled these warmer outerwear pieces with a mix of formal tailoring as well as more relaxed streetwear-inspired designs. The collection also includes a number of formal footwear, from brown double monks to knee-high leather heeled boots.
This lookbook is further evidence of the growing trend of tactical gear for 2021. While you may not want to actually use these pieces specifically for camouflage purposes, they’ll keep you warm once we are able to enjoy the great outdoors freely again.
You can view the full Burberry FW21 pre-collection above, and a release date is set for later this year.
