Step into the world of Miu Miu at its Art Basel "Tales & Tellers" project

Miu Miu is inviting you to explore its “Tales & Tellers” project as part of Art Basel Paris this week.

Miu Miu’s Art Basel project, which is opening to the public from tomorrow until October 20th, has commissioned multiple films from different creators, each exploring a unique female-led narrative. Taking root in Miuccia Prada’s fascination with women’s representation in film, something that’s also evident in plenty of her collections for the house, “Tales & Tellers” spotlights women’s voices, stories, and works.

Aiming to highlight how stories, particularly in film, can change minds, alter courses, shift lives, and give us new perspectives, the "Tales & Tellers" project makes sense for Miu Miu when you consider that its founder and Creative Director Miuccia Prada herself has always put women and their lives, their histories, and their tales at the forefront of her collections. Even at FW24, the focus of Miu Miu’s collection was on clothing being passed between generations, studying the lives and habits of people through the styles they wear.

“Tales & Tellers” was conceived by interdisciplinary artist Goshka Macuga (aka @gonogo.space) - the same artist who designed the newspapers guests took away from Miu Miu’s SS25 show - and convened by Elvira Dyangani Ose (@edyanganiose) as a visualisation of a multiverse of narratives detailing women’s experiences.

Hit up “Tales & Tellers” this week to be immersed in Miu Miu’s world of women in film, and explore the Palais d’Iéna where all of the commissioned videos will be shown on screens for you to walk amongst. It’s free to get into Miu Miu’s “Tales & Tellers” programme, so if you’re in Paris from October 16th to 20th, make sure to hit up Palais d’Iéna and see it for yourself.
