Aries is ready to take you on a cross-country hike with its collaboration with ROA, mustering up two hiking boots derived from the Italian outdoor brand’s classic Andreas boot.
The signature footwear pieces have been redesigned to receive an asymmetrical toe and featured 3mm-thick grey reflective details running along the shoes’ uppers. The London-based brand’s touch comes in the form of its signatured climbing rope-style lacings, interchangeable between a purple and green with yellow accents options.
Some of the original ROA designs remain such as the metal lacing hooks, the tab heel and the Vibram ® megagrip on the outsole in a toothed tread pattern. The boots come in two colourways, a Zebra Pony Skin print and a Black version, finished off with the co-branded Aries x ROA logo on the top collar.
The arrival of the collaborative pieces is accompanied by a campaign shot by Kuba Ryniewicz. The England-based photographer is known for his distinct style rooted in challenging traditional portraits and travel narratives, which is exactly what he’s done for this campaign.
It was shot in Newcastle and inspired by films like Ben Wheatley’s Sightseers and Mike Leigh’s Nuts in May. Taking on the British obsession with the outdoors, which sees the models rummaging in fields and freshening up in a river accompanied by a furry friend.
Both Aries x ROA boots are now available to buy online as well as in Aries’ London flagship store.
