Some people are so integral to a scene that it would be strange to imagine a space without them in it – but their origins in the field may be more ambiguous. Bloody Osiris is one of these figures – straddling styling and runway walks, influencing and activism.
Hailing from Harlem, Bloody Osiris has become known for his forward-looking fits, often wearing things that become trends months afterwards, or new season pieces fresh off the runway. His natural styling ability has also landed him roles in which he has styled Travis Scott and Billie Eilish, and constantly pushes the boundaries of what fashion is expected to encompass.
He first rose to prominence in 2016, after being featured on one of the moodboards for Ye’s YEEZY Season 3 collection, before modelling in the show itself. Since then, he became one of Virgil’s closest associates, forming an ongoing relationship with the creative that saw Bloody style and walk in the SS18 Off-White show.
As well as styling, Bloody Osiris has also lent his eye to a select few collaborations – partnering with VLONE and Coach on a limited footwear capsule collection. Straddling both sides of the design process seems to come naturally to him, with the creative also featuring in the Jordan Proto-Max campaign of 2019, after being a longtime advocate for Air Jordans on a personal level.
Another major draw of his content is the backgrounds. Predominantly forgoing the usual fit pics in front of West London townhouses, colourblocked walls or the dreaded empty parking lot, Bloody Osiris is known for taking things to the next level. Late last year, he debuted an all-black fit featuring a Balenciaga gore-tex jacket and Rick Owens sneakers against an all-black dramatic cave-beach landscape in none other than Iceland. Casual.
Managing to transcend hype, but also be the first to dictate it, Bloody Osiris has cemented his position as an integral member of the streetwear and fashion spaces. Most recently, we’ve seen him flexing in a new season Dingyun Zhang camo-puffer helmet, paired with a Supreme camo jacket and trousers. Never one to take himself too seriously, but also able to acknowledge his own influence, Bloody Osiris’ own caption said it best – ‘Rich Off Fit Pics’.
