Sprinter marks the first collaboration between Dave and Central Cee, as well as being Dave’s first release of this year, and that music video packed a lot of heat. Shot in London and Monaco, the video didn’t just feature the two rappers, but also artist Slawn’s baby held by Cench in front of the new Beau’s Café.
Considering the song is a banger, it’s not a surprise the fashion follows suit. Both Dave and Central Cee are known to rep some of the hottest streetwear brands out there. In Sprinter, we saw Central Cee wearing a Palace camo bucket hat and hoodie, while Dave was repping a purple BAPE varsity-style jacket and a fat-load of chains. It wasn’t just clothing the two were flaunting, showing off some shiny AP watches and parked-up Aston Martins.
But the one item we can’t get over is that one unreleased Corteiz leather jacket Dave wore. First teased on his Instagram, the comment section went absolutely apesh*t over the link up and the jacket, with too many fire emojis to possibly count. The leather biker jacket is seen with a supersize yellow Corteiz-certified C all across the front, while the back sees the star-decorated brand name sewn on the top half, matched with yellow perforated panel and “corteizrulestheworld” found on the back of the collar.
Dropping Sprinter as part of a collaborative EP “Split Decision” a few days ahead of their 25th birthday – Dave and Cench basically share the same birthday, just one day apart, which they make sure to let us know on Our 25th Birthday, the third track of the EP – it’s not just a birthday they have in common. Both rappers share a tight relationship with Clint, founder of Corteiz, being spotted repping the brand or hanging with Clint himself.
Corteiz is known for its elusive approach to new clothing and drops – it’s part of the hype and what makes Corteiz Corteiz. But could the Sprinter video be any hint to an upcoming drop? If it looks anything like that jacket, we sure hope so.
