A morning stroll to Valentino‘s new Sloane Square boutique

A morning stroll to Valentino‘s new Sloane Square boutique

Valentino swung open the doors of its brand-new Sloane Square flagship store last month, and we thought it was only right that we check it out with some of our canine companions.

The store is set over four floors, exploring the Maison’s visual codes through architectural design, with dedicated areas for Valentino Garavani accessories, ready-to-wear, and private client appointments. The space pairs red with ivory and black to create a neutral environment that accentuates the aesthetic qualities of each collection.

The colour red is applied to an impactful staircase that leads to the first floor . The colour is explored in all its richness on the top floor, where a red carpet meets a mirrored ceiling in a nod to the interior design movements of London in the 1970s, which was a firm favourite for us.

We all know fashion is subjective, including our furry friends, who were divided when it came to choosing their favourite products from the easy-on-the-eye minimal displays with contrasting brass accents. Our beautiful Afghan Hound Ark, who by the way had better hair than anyone else in the store, was drawn straight to the summer neutrals, including the Crêpe Couture Skirt, Embroidered Organza Shirts, and dresses. Our Weimaraner Luna was a timeless black kind of girl, and she loved the long dresses on offer. Meanwhile, our Chihuahua twosome were all over the Valentino Garavani VSLING Mini Tweed Handbag, and the footwear section couldn’t keep their paws off the Valentino Garavani VLogo Locker mary janes in a timeless Valentino Rosso colourway.

Once we were all done and dusted with our shopping, we thought we’d take one last moment to take in the interior of the store, where the spirit of Italian hospitality oozes from its luxury fittings throughout the intimate space.

With our shopping bags in hand, we headed back out to catch some Sloane Square sunshine, to finish off our morning stroll.
