Following the release of his latest movie The Complete Unknown, Timothée Chalamet continues to make headlines for one reason or another, whether it’s showing up to events dressed as a beanie-clad Bob Dylan or his viral interview with Theo Von. This time, he’s made the front page for a romantic moment with his girl Kylie Jenner at the 2025 Golden Globes. Although we love a bit of romance, it’s a shame that this overshadowed the fact that he casually pulled up in unreleased Tom Ford by his fashion bestie, Haider Ackermann.
Timmy’s Golden Globes fit was a simple look by the French designer, fitting him in a skinny black suit with confidently wide peak lapels to contrast. The blazer also featured speckled, sequin detailing and was paired with a simple, striped button-up and a Bob Dylan-esque polka dot silk scarf for a pop of colour. The trousers were equally slim and stacked atop western-style chelsea boots with a sharp, pointed toe. The accessories were kept tasteful too, with a textured silver ring and bracelet.
As our first look at Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford since he was appointed as the brand’s new creative director in September, this fit was a moment for fashion mfers to get on their radar. Having his own eponymous label and previously working at Berluti, his sleek feminine edge to menswear has made him one of the hottest prospects in fashion since he burst onto the scene in 2001. With advancements by Dior, Maison Margiela and Chanel to be their new creative director, Ackermann’s obviously got the talent and execution to turn any heritage brand’s head. Alongside his new stint at Tom Ford, he even joined Canada Goose’s team to be their new creative director.
Too bad most people were too busy looking at Timmy’s date to notice a fashion first just hit the red carpet. Either way, we’re excited for more from Ackermann at Tom Ford to come.
