Moncler is continuing to expand its footwear offering with the launch of the CityTrek, a new sneaker that channels the brand's mountaineering heritage into a silhouette designed for everyday life. Inspired by vintage trail runners, the latest model blends technical construction with refined craftsmanship, reflecting Moncler's growing focus on footwear that performs just as well on city streets as it does beyond them.

While many outdoor-inspired sneakers have leaned into chunky proportions and aggressive styling in recent years, the Citytrek takes a more restrained route. The silhouette balances performance and luxury through a premium brushed suede upper, breathable Cordura mesh panelling and a smooth leather collar that wraps comfortably around the ankle. Underfoot, a cushioned midsole works alongside a natural gum Vibram outsole, borrowing from the waffle-style tread patterns found on classic hiking footwear to provide dependable grip without sacrificing comfort.

The design also reflects Moncler's attention to subtle detailing. Rendered in a muted stone colour palette, the sneaker keeps branding understated, allowing its material mix to take centre stage. Closer inspection reveals several signature flourishes, including Monduck, the brand's mascot, hidden inside the elasticated tongue to display the shoe size, alongside a stitched "M" logo across the sidewalls and a tricolour flag accent at the heel.

The CityTrek arrives as Moncler continues to strengthen its position within the premium sneaker market. Having built its reputation on outerwear engineered for alpine environments, the Italian label has increasingly translated that expertise into footwear, creating silhouettes that fuse outdoor functionality with elevated design. The CityTrek follows that philosophy closely, delivering a sneaker that feels equally suited to daily commuting, weekend exploration and everything in between.

Available now through selected Moncler stores and online, the CityTrek adds another versatile option to the brand's growing footwear catalogue, offering a considered alternative for those looking to bring technical performance into their everyday rotation.
