No Problemo is taking its fascination with the unknown to one of footwear's most recognisable silhouettes. The Aries offshoot has teamed up with Converse for its first global collaboration, reworking the Chuck 70 through the brand's signature extraterrestrial-inspired aesthetic.
Launching on July 21, the capsule comprises two versions of the classic sneaker. A black Chuck 70 Hi sits alongside a white Chuck 70 Ox finished with fluorescent green accents, with both pairs blending Converse's heritage design with No Problemo's playful visual language.
The collaboration draws heavily from the imagery of 1970s science fiction, UFO mythology and cult coming-of-age films, referencing the cultural moments that helped cement the Chuck 70's place beyond the basketball court. Hidden details throughout the collection nod to classics including 'Stand by Me', 'The Outsiders' and 'Back to the Future', while conspiracy culture provides another layer of inspiration.
Among the standout design details, the traditional Converse ankle patch has been replaced on the Chuck 70 Hi with No Problemo's "Aleneno" alien emblem. Elsewhere, custom "I Want To Believe" laces reference classic UFO fiction, while silver eyelets echo the brand's alien logo and bold moulded branding across the outsole gives the timeless silhouette a distinctly contemporary finish.
The campaign continues the story, transporting the collection to London's Hackney Henge where an imagined alien encounter unfolds. Playing on familiar conspiracy theories, the visuals feature a couple dressed in improvised foil hats before being abducted, reinforcing No Problemo's long-standing interest in outsider narratives, hidden knowledge and alternative perspectives.
The No Problemo x Converse Chuck 70 collection will be available globally from July 21 via No Problemo, Aries and selected retailers. The Chuck 70 Ox is priced at £95, while the Chuck 70 Hi retails for £110.
