Stockholm based fashion brand, PAST TENSE, founded by Victor Lindh and Adrien Forray, is finally releasing its AW23 collection which comes out on October 28th. Titled “FROM A DIFFERENT VIEW,” the AW23 collection is inspired by the brand’s minimalist Scandinavian roots, as well as industrial and utilitarian aesthetics, blending natural and serene influences with stark modern styles.
With both of the brand’s founders combining their extensive experience working with the likes of Neil Barrett, Axel Arigato, Burberry, Kering and Norse Projects in the past, PAST TENSE blends a spectrum of styles, vibes, and aesthetics to create an AW23 collection that’s as grounded in current trends as it is wholly new and unique.
Given that the brand’s ethos is centred around unique takes on fashion, individualism and self-expression, and luxury quality, durable garments, the AW23 collection, “FROM A DIFFERENT VIEW,” is only the start of its ongoing mission. Featuring a range of cream knitwear with silver hardware details, utility style jackets and oversized puffer coats, and high quality tailoring, the collection is winter ready without even trying.
This concept of juxtaposition is one of PAST TENSE’s main attributes as a brand, in that it seeks to contrast the soft, minimalist nature of its silhouettes and styles with stark, harsh, and bold details that add a modern and unique edge. It’s seen in the metal silver trims and hardware against the soft textures of PAST TENSE’s natural dry cotton or wool touch fabrics throughout the collection.
PAST TENSE’s designs are created to be timeless. Despite existing in the PAST TENSE, it promises “products that are not discarded after each season, but subtly refined and adjusted over time for a well-curated wardrobe that transcends time and trends.”
Shop the collection on PAST TENSE’s website, from October 28.
